Over the holidays we had the opportunity to work with LA Board of Supervisor Kathryn Barger's office to provide bicycles to a refugee family from Guatemala. We began with a donation of one bicycle to the youth in order to accurately measure the impact of the bicycle for future deliveries.
Based on the feedback, we have decided to continue providing more bicycles to refugee children that have recently immigrated to Los Angeles. The bicycles show the children and teenagers that the local community supports them and cares for them. In addition, the bicycles will provide the independence they need to find employment and to go to school. Bicycles are the first step for them in living the American Dream!
Thank you to Kathryn Barger and her staff for helping these families and being so supportive to their community.
With that said, we are collecting bicycles that are in excellent condition to donate to these children and teenagers. Please let us know if you can help!
Help us donate hundreds of bicycles to refugee families in Los Angeles County!
